Universal Document Converter is just a virtual printer like the "Adobe PDF" or the "Microsoft Office Image Writer", etc.
So, it adds a new printer named "Universal Document Converter" in the windows printer list. If we need to convert, for example, a word document into PDF, open the file in Microsoft Word. Click "Print" and you will get a list of printers, where you select the "Universal Document Converter ". In the printer properties, you can select the format you need; in this case, PDF. Just click "Print" after selecting the quality settings and the output file will be saved in the default folder "C:\UDC Output Files".
The main thing is that the program is really fast and easy to use.
The program is named "Universal Document Converter." But it doesn't seem to support many formats! From the screenshot itself, you can see that only some picture formats like the JPG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PNG and a PDF is only available.
I would not recommend this program to anyone, unless what they need is a document converter (to convert any format to PDF) for a large number of files, quickly. I would say that Adobe Acrobat or the "Print as PDF extension" to Microsoft Office is better than this one.
- Easy to use
- High Price
- Supports only some formats
